What is Elderlearn?
Elderlearn matches volunteer Danish seniors 65+ with international newcomers who want to improve their Danish. The visits help improve integration opportunities for the newcomer and create unique relationships across generations and cultures.
Participation is free for all volunteers, as Elderlearn receives financial support through municipal partnerships and foundations.

Danish language and culture can be difficult to understand. You can meet with a senior who can help you improve your Danish and has a lifetime of experience!
In Elderlearn, you visit a Danish senior and together you speak Danish. You can practice your pronunciation and get better at understanding Danish humor and traditions. You can ask questions and talk about your internship, your school, your colleagues and your everyday life. You meet for about 1 hour every week. Often you meet at the senior's home, but you can arrange the time and place yourself. We help you arrange the first meeting. It's free and voluntary to join! And you can meet for as long as you want and have time.
