To join, you must be able to have a basic conversation in Danish.

It's free to join because Elderlearn is supported by municipalities and foundations.

What is Elderlearn?

Elderlearn matches volunteer Danish seniors 65+ with international newcomers who want to improve their Danish. The visits help improve integration opportunities for the newcomer and create unique relationships across generations and cultures.

Participation is free for all volunteers, as Elderlearn receives financial support through municipal partnerships and foundations.

DO YOU WANT TO BECOME PROFICIENT IN DANISH AND PERFORM BETTER IN EVERYDAY LIFE?

Danish language and culture can be difficult to understand. You can meet with a senior who can help you improve your Danish and has a lifetime of experience!

In Elderlearn, you visit a Danish senior and together you speak Danish. You can practice your pronunciation and improve your understanding of Danish humor and traditions. You can ask questions and talk about your internship, your school, your colleagues and your everyday life.

You meet for about 1 hour every week. Often you will meet at the senior's home, but you arrange the time and place yourself. We help you arrange the first meeting.

It's free and voluntary to join! And you meet as long as you want and have time.
