What is Elderlearn?
Elderlearn matches volunteer Danish seniors 65+ with international newcomers who want to improve their Danish. The visits help improve integration opportunities for the newcomer and create unique relationships across generations and cultures.
Participation is free for all volunteers, as Elderlearn receives financial support through municipal partnerships and foundations.

SPECIAL FOCUS?
You have a lifetime of experience with Danish language and culture - others can benefit from that. Volunteer with Elderlearn and make a tangible difference for an international caregiver in your local area. We bring people together to meet in a voluntary 1:1 community about once a week for an hour. You can talk about anything, but many care workers especially want support with the Danish language, talk about internships, everyday challenges and education in general. How do working communities work? How about Danish humor and politeness?
You'll use your life experience and knowledge to help boost the self-esteem and well-being of a younger citizen. If you're interested in a caregiver match, ask about it when you talk to us during registration!
