Elderlearn is a socially responsible company that is passionate about volunteer communities across languages, generations and cultures.
We do this by connecting international newcomers who want to become better at speaking Danish and understanding Danish culture with Danish seniors who want a piece of the world to visit their living room.
Elderlearn ensures a good match that takes into account residence, interests and special needs, and we follow up on all matches to ensure that the meetings are mutually beneficial.
Both seniors and international newcomers volunteer, and it's free for them to join.
Municipal partnerships that make sense
In a municipal collaboration with you, we work with you to develop a framework agreement with the exact focus your municipality needs. This could be a special focus on matching different target groups, such as seniors with a connection to home care, students in SOSU education, refugees, newcomers outside the labor market or a completely different target group. A collaboration with Elderlearn can either take place through a single administration or as a collaboration between several administrations.
A partnership usually runs for a 1-3 year period with an agreed number of matches per year. Since 2017, Elderlearn has matched over 4600 volunteers in more than 70 municipalities, and we have multi-year partnerships with 16 municipalities.
